Press Release on COVID-19 (19th May 2021)
This is for general information that in order to enable the local residents to purchase their basic and daily essential commodities during the ongoing TOTAL CURFEW promulgated in Ri Bhoi District with effect from 8:00 PM of 20th May, 2021 till 5:00 A.M of 31st, May, 2021 vide this Office Order No. DCRB(CN)/COVID-19/1/2020/Pt.1/226,Dated, Nongpoh the 19th May, 2021. The following Shops are hereby permitted to open tomorrow the 20.05.2021 from 9:00A.M to 4:00P.M in Ri Bhoi District:-
- All the Fair price shops in Ri Bhoi District.
- Identified Groceries and essential items shops
- Vegetables/fruits/meat Vendors and Confectionery Shops of the respective localities.
The Nongpoh Town/ Umsning Town/ Markets Committees/ Local Headman (Rangbah Shnong) in coordination with the District Police are requested to regulate the operation of the shops
in their respective localities & villages and so as to ensure due compliance to the Advisories of Government in the Health & Family Welfare Department with special and strict reference to Social
Distancing concerning the COVID-19 situation.
