Services provided by the Excise Branch

List of Documents to be submitted along with the application, “OFF and “ON” the Premises License

A. Application should be affixed with Court Fee Stamp of Rs. 25/-

B. General Documents:

  • No Objection Certificate
    • From Local Area Authority
    • From Municipality (if it is within municipality Area)
    • From Market/Bazar Committee (if it is within Market/Bazar Area)
  • Professional Tax Clearance Certificate (from Autonomous District Council)
  • Sales Tax Clearance (from Meghalaya Taxation Department)
  • Land/Building ownership document or Tenancy Agreement
  • Financial Capacity Certificate (from any Bank or Financial Institution)

C. Personal Documents:

  • Proof of Age Certificate
    • Birth Certificate
    • School Certificate
  • Proof of Residential Certificate
    • EPIC
    • Certificate issued by Village/Town Committee/Nokma/Hima Syiemship/any other competent Authority
  • Identity Proof (EPIC, etc.)
  • Educational Qualification Certificate
  • Marriage Certificate (if married)
  • Schedule Tribe/Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Trading License (for Non-Tribal, wherever applicable)

A. Application should be affixed with Court Fee Stamp of Rs. 25/-

B. General Documents:

  • No Objection Certificate
    • From Local Area Authority
    • From Municipality (if it is within municipality Area)
    • From Market/Bazar Committee (if it is within Market/Bazar Area)
  • Professional Tax Clearance Certificate (from Autonomous District Council)
  • Sales Tax Clearance (from Meghalaya Taxation Department)
  • Land/Building ownership document or Tenancy Agreement
  • Financial Capacity Certificate (from any Bank or Financial Institution)

D. Blue Print of Building and Site Plan duly countersigned by authorized Meghalaya Government Department Engineer.

E. Pollution Certificate from the Pollution Control Board.
